Babysitting is usually a teenager's first attempt at building and running a small business. Our new Child and Babysitting Safety (CABS) course is designed to engage and inform the aspiring babysitter. This course gives teenagers everything they need to know, from getting started, to dealing with parents and children, to key safety, caregiving, and first aid tips.
This program is for in-person training, with no online or blended portions. Students will receive a printed book and a paper certification card with the successful completion of this course.
INTENDED AUDIENCE
Geared towards adolescents, not intended for daycare workers.
PREREQUISITES
None, however CPR/AED and Basic First Aid certification strongly recommended.
RECOGNIZED CERTIFICATION PERIOD
Certification is valid for up to 1 year
CLASS DURATION
Initial training requires 6 hours, but it should be noted that successful completion is based on achievement of the core learning objectives, rather than a prescribed instruction time
